If you’re looking for an easy breakfast recipe that feels special without a lot of morning effort, this Sourdough Overnight French Toast Bake is always a crowd favorite. It’s cozy, comforting, and perfect for holidays, weekend brunches, or hosting family and friends.
One of the best parts? You do almost all the work the night before. Simply assemble the casserole, let it chill overnight in the fridge, and the next morning all you have to do is add the topping and pop it in the oven. After about an hour of baking, you’ll have a warm, golden breakfast everyone will be excited to dig into.
The sourdough bread gives this bake the perfect texture — soft in the middle with slightly crisp edges — and the cinnamon-sugar topping takes it over the top. It’s also one of those recipes that both adults and picky toddlers tend to love, which makes it even better for busy mornings or family gatherings.
Whether you’re making breakfast for Christmas morning, a brunch with friends, or just want an easy make-ahead meal, this overnight French toast bake is one recipe you’ll come back to again and again.
